Audi has upgraded the Q5, one of its most popular models. The 2018 Audi Q5 has been improved inside and out. It’s longer, wider, faster, more powerful, better looking and more aerodynamic. It’s also more technologically advanced, roomier, more comfortable, quieter and safer. Audi has taken a great vehicle and made it better. All of that and the price is only incrementally higher.

Although the Audi Q5 has been a top seller, the mid-size crossover hadn’t had any significant changes made since 2008 when it was first introduced. For 2018 Audi has transformed the Q5 and made it even more cutting edge. It starts with the engine. The new Q5 has more horsepower, more torque and goes from zero to 60 faster than previous models. Plus, the all-wheel drive Q5 also has an improved seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission.

The exterior of the new Q5 is an inch longer, with a wheelbase that’s a little bigger and the body is two inches wider. Plus, the grille, hood and sideview mirrors have been tweaked to make the 2018 Audi Q5 more aerodynamic. These changes reflect the vehicle’s evolution, and you can see it for yourself at Audi Of Tucson.

Inside the Audi 2018 Q5, the company has improved both the fantastic MMI infotainment system as well as the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster has a more clever layout, an added smaller HD screen to supplement the functions of the 8.3-inch main HD screen located mid dashboard. It also has a trackpad for text input and an easy to use knob to control the display. Plus, there are now touch-sensitive drive select and climate control buttons. It’s all part of the ‘retina treatment’ the dashboard was given. Even the virtual cockpit has been upgraded to be on par with the more expensive Q7’s.

The new Q5 has a well-trimmed interior. The comfortable front seats have adjustable lumbar support. Even with its panoramic moonroof, the 2018 Audi Q5 has lots of headroom and adjustable backseats that holds two adults comfortably and has climate controls of their own. The three backseats can be folded down independently and create cargo space of over 60 cubic feet. Keep the seats upright and there’s 26.3 cubic feet of storage space that easily accessible through its power liftgate.

Driving the 2018 Audi Q5 is a wonderful experience whether you set the drive to auto, all-road, comfort, dynamic, efficiency or off-road. The cabin is quiet and peaceful.
Plus, it has a host of helpful driver assistance features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind spot warning, back-up camera, cameras on the crossover’s four corners, as well as a top-view camera system which provides parking assistance.

The updated 2018 Audi Q5 offers a wonderful combination of technological sophistication, a plush interior, fantastic cockpit ergonomics and an immensely satisfying, serene ride. The MMI’s excellent interface with its HD ‘retina’ style display is a pleasure to use. Everything is easy to reach and simple to operate. The smart design of the upgrades to the 2018 Audi Q5 has taken its look, feel and function to another level.
